On Monday, Lady Vols basketball landed its sixth addition of the transfer portal cycle. Auburn guard Harissoum Coulibaly committed to Tennessee after a successful freshman year at the college level.

What are the Lady Vols getting in Coulibaly, though? When watching her highlights, it doesn’t take too long to see her jump out. First, she’s a great athlete who can carve through defenses on drives. When getting to the rim, she’s shown a multitude of ways to get the ball to drop, including through contact. However, her jumpshot has some work that needs to be done.

Defensively, Coulibaly fits Kim Caldwell’s system perfectly. She’s a decently sized guard at 5-foot-10, but again, her athleticism is a major plus and should help her jump pass lanes and stay in front of ball handlers in the backcourt.

Over the course of her freshman year, Coulibaly appeared in 31 games and started in 18. She averaged 10.4 points per game on 45% shooting from the field. She shot 50% from range, but that was on just four attempts over the entire year. She shot 54.4% from the free-throw line.

The Paris, France, native also produced 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game. This came in an average of 26.6 minutes per outing.
