Tennessee has added five high-level players through the transfer portal following the signing of elite guard Terrence Hill Jr. on Monday. But the Vols may not be done quite yet. Depending on how Rick Barnes and his staff want to continue filling out their roster, there are still a couple of different routes that Tennessee could go to complete its 2026-2027 lineup.
Adding Hill onto the roster was a huge win for Tennessee, considering he’s a Top 25 transfer portal player in the cycle. There’s still another big fish out there, though. Former Wake Forest small forward Juke Harris is looking for a new home through the portal. He’s currently ranked as 247Sports’ No. 7 transfer prospect and the No. 1 small forward in the cycle.
While speaking to Bob Baskerville and Chris Low on The RTI Low-Down on Sunday, Tennessee signee Terrence Hill made his pitch for Harris to join him on Rocky Top. Hill said that now that he’s locked into Tennessee, he’s turning his attention to doing the recruiting, rather than being recruited.
“I think I become a big part,” Hill said of Tennessee’s recruiting efforts moving forward. “Like you said, they already told me about Juke. Obviously, he’s a great player. I think great players want to play with great players. So, seeing my commitment today, hopefully he has Tennessee on his mind and we can kind of reel him in to get this national championship team put together. But, I think I’m a big part (of the recruiting efforts). If I want to be the point guard, I’ve got to be able to lead these guys in recruitment and when the season starts.”
During the 2025-2026 season, Harris played and started in all 35 of his appearances for the Demon Deacons. He averaged 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists through the season.

Hill spoke about another potential portal prospect after he was asked about former Texas Tech 6-foot-11 center Luke Bamgboye. Hill and Bamgboye both played at VCU during the 2024-2025 season before Bamgboye went to Texas Tech and Hill stayed with the Rams for another season. The London, England, native is now looking for a new home.
“Yeah, that’s my guy,” Hill said. “I think Luke Bamgboye is a great player. Like you said, we probably need one more of those types of bigs that can protect the rim and be a lob threat for us. Just add great size to our team. But, yeah, he’s a great player. Everything you’d ask for for a shot blocker and just being a high-motor kid in college basketball at that five man spot. I will try to get in contact with him, hopefully it works out. Hopefully we can.”
Terrence Hill Jr. is one of five transfer portal players that Tennessee has added so far, all of whom are listed as four-star prospects. In total, Tennessee has added G Dai Dai Ames (No. 103), PF Miles Rubin (No. 94), SG Tyler Lundblade (No. 76), SF Jalen Haralson (No. 40), and G Terrence Hill Jr. (No. 24). Additionally, Tennessee has four incoming high-school signees with three four-star players and one three-star player.
