Lady Vols basketball is going to look a lot different this year compared to last. Tennessee is returning no players from last year’s roster and has replaced a pair of assistant coaches on its staff. The director of video and creative content, Josh Theis, also left and joined former UT assistant Gabe Lazo on his staff at UCF.
On Monday, Kim Caldwell officially filled the hole left by Theis. She hired Brandon Miller, formerly a long-time member of NC State’s staff, as the director of video and strategy. Miller was on staff with the Wolfpack for nine years as the director of scouting and video operations.
“I am really pleased to add an experienced Power 4 veteran like Brandon to our program,” Caldwell said on the hiring. “He was a trusted member of Wes Moore’s staff at NC State, has been to two Final Fours and brings a wealth of knowledge from his stops at other schools as well. Our whole office is excited to add him to the mix, and we look forward to working alongside him.”

Before joining the staff at NC State, Miller was at Boston College as a video production analyst for two seasons. From 2012-15, he was the director of basketball operations at North Texas.
Prior to that, Miller spent time in the ACC. From 2010-12, he was the video coordinator at Clemson. From 2008-10, he was the video coordinator at Louisville. There, he went to the Final Four with the Cardinals, finishing as the runner-up.
Miller holds a degree from High Point in business administration and sport management. He has an M.S. in sport management from Florida, as well, which he earned as a graduate assistant with the Gators.
