On Monday night, Tennessee softball knocked off Alabama to claim a crucial series win. The Lady Vols are on the bubble of a top-eight overall seed for the NCAA Tournament, and beating a top-five Crimson Tide squad is a big step to securing one of those coveted seeds, which would set the program up to host a super regional.

Next, Tennessee heads to Missouri for a three-game set to round out the regular season. The first game is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. ET. Friday’s game is set for the same time. The regular-season finale is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. Then, it’s the SEC Tournament before the selection show reveals the seeding for the NCAA Tournament.

Before this crucial stretch, Lady Vols head coach Karen Weekly met with the media to recap this past weekend and preview the upcoming slate.

“The biggest challenge Missouri presents is they’re fighting for their lives right now,” Weekly said. “They’re sitting at .500, but they’re 39 RPI so if they can stay above .500, obviously, they will make the NCAA Tournament. They got a lot to play for. We’re playing at their home field. If you look at what they’ve done throughout the season, especially in SEC, their record may not be great, but they’re in almost every single game.”
