The Tennessee Football stars were out for Luke Combs’ Neyland Stadium concert on Saturday night in Knoxville. The country music star brought his “My Kinda Saturday Night” tour to Rocky Top over the weekend, which is the first concert inside Neyland Stadium since Morgan Wallen’s two-night tour back in the fall of 2024.

Things got rowdy on Saturday night when Combs brought out four Tennessee Football stars – Peyton Manning, Josh Heupel, Al Wilson, and Joey Aguilar – onto the stage to shotgun beers in front of the crowd. Combs then broke out into his song “1,2 Many” as everyone high-fived and hugged after the stunt.

There’s a connection here that some fans might not know about. Combs is a dedicated App State football fan, which is where Aguilar played football before his tiny stint at UCLA and full season at Tennessee. Combs was even a College GameDay guest picker for a September 2022 football game that featured his Mountaineers against Troy. Aguilar wasn’t on the App State team during that season, but he did go on to break Mountaineers records over the next two years. There’s no doubt that Combs had an eye on Aguilar before most Tennessee fans even knew his name.

Combs also had a pre-show entrance that featured Spooky Rocky Top and the traditional recording of Rocky Top as he got the fans stirring for the show.

It’s almost mandatory to bring out the home team’s stars when playing in a stadium, but Combs had his guys part of the show on this one. Two years ago, we saw Wallen bring out members of the football and baseball teams for his pre-show walkouts, but that was it. Combs, though, had these guys front and center in front of the crowd.
