
The Detroit Pistons pulled off an early series comeback in the NBA Playoffs. After falling behind 3-1 in its opening round series against Orlando, the Pistons won the final four games of the series to advance to eastern conference semifinals.
Detroit knocked off Orlando, 116-94, in game seven Sunday afternoon with former Tennessee basketball star Tobias Harris putting together a star performance. Harris totaled 30 points, nine rebounds and two assists 36 minutes of action.
Harris made 11-of-18 field goal attempts and five-of-seven three-point attempts as Detroit erased the early series deficit to advance to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs.
It was a quiet regular season for the veteran Harris as he averaged just 13.3 points and 5.1 rebounds while playing in 63 of 82 games.

Despite a quiet regular season, Harris was phenomenal in the opening round series victory against the Magic. Harris averaged 21.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 assists per game.
The 6-foot-8, 226-pound forward scored 20-plus points in five of seven games in Detroit’s series victory over Orlando. He averaged 22.8 points in the Pistons’ four wins in the series. Harris did most of his damage despite not shooting well from three-point range. He made just six-of-31 (19%) of his three-point attempts in the first six games of the series.
Harris is in his 15th season in the NBA including his second stint with the Detroit Pistons. He previously played in Detroit in the from the 2015-16 season through the 2017-18 season. Harris signed with Detroit again ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The former Tennessee standout helped lead Detroit to a 60-22 record and the No. 1 seed in the eastern conference. The Pistons now turn their attention to the Cleveland Cavaliers while the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers battle on the other side of the bracket.
