Tennessee basketball landed its biggest get in the transfer portal this offseason on Monday morning when Wake Forest guard Juke Harris committed to the Vols over defending national champion Michigan as well as North Carolina.
Harris is coming off a strong sophomore season where he averaged 21.4 points on 44.4% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from three-point range. The Salisbury, North Carolina native made 87 three-pointers during the 2025-26 season.
A top-notch scorer, Harris totaled 20-plus points in 20 games last season and scored 30-plus points against NC State, Boston College and Cal.
Wake Forest played four ranked opponents last season. Harris scored 19 points in a loss against Vanderbilt, 28 points in a loss against North Carolina, 23 points in a loss against Duke and 25 points in a loss against Louisville.
On top of his scoring prowess, Harris is a strong defender who averaged 6.3 rebounds, 1.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game last season.
Harris strong performance last season was enough for him to win ACC Breakout Player of the Year honors and Second Team All-ACC honors.
Landing Harris is a major coup for Rick Barnes and his staff as they pair one of the top players in the transfer portal with a strong backcourt core, including VCU combo guard Terrence Hill Jr, Cal combo guard Dai Dai Ames and Belmont sharpshooter Tyler Lundblade.
Harris is a consensus top 30 transfer this offseason and ranks in the top 10 of most transfer portal rankings. Here’s where Harris lands in five outlets’ transfer portal rankings.
