Lady Vols basketball is making a push for one of the top recruits in the 2027 class. On Wednesday, five-star point guard Taylor Brown announced four official visits that she’ll be taking, including a trip to see Tennessee.
According to a report from Talia Goodman, Brown will be on Rocky Top on June 25 to get a close look at Kim Caldwell’s Lady Vols. Then, she’ll see Florida State on August 29, Virginia Tech on September 3 and North Carolina on October 3.
Brown ranks as a five-star via 247 Composite. The rankings also place her as the No. 24 player in the class, No. 3 point guard and top recruit from New York. She is from Glen Head, New York, and attends Long Island Lutheran.

More From RTI: Bill Ferrara Details Key Difference in Lady Vols Basketball’s New Recruiting Strategy
Brown picked up her Tennessee offer this past April from Caldwell and new assistant coach Bill Ferrara. On Wednesday, Ferrara detailed some of the differences he is helping employ on the recruiting trail this offseason.
“You know how valuable it is that I sat in there and watched Kim just tell everybody the truth about every single thing, every single question,” Ferrara said. “So yeah, that’s what we did on all the visits. We just told them how it’s going to be said. It’s going to be hard. We said we’re going to be waking you up at six in the morning on Fridays, and we’re going to be running you on the track. We said that we’re going to be pressing everybody.
“And that’s the best way to attract what you want. You want hard-working kids with a chip on their shoulder? You have to tell them what it’s going to be like, you can’t roll out Lamborghinis and lie to them. So, it’s been fun for me to watch Kim do that.”
So far, the Lady Vols hold no commitments in the 2027 class as it comes into focus. However, Tennessee did sign a pair of 2026 recruits, four-star Gabby Minus and international star Irene Oboavwoduo.
