It’s been a busy stretch for Lady Vols basketball. Tennessee went from one incoming freshman on the roster to a full 15-player group in just a few weeks.

After a hectic stretch on the recruiting trail, Kim Caldwell and her staff seemingly aren’t taking their foot off the gas. While this year’s roster is complete, UT is looking to the future.

On Tuesday, the Lady Vols hosted class of 2028 recruit Kendall Proffitt. During her visit, she picked up an offer from Caldwell and assistant coach Bill Ferrara. Tennessee joins Miami, Florida, UCF, Harvard and High Point as schools to offer her already. She’s also visited Florida State, Cincinnati and the Gators.

Proffitt is a sharp-shooting guard who has good size at 6-foot. She’s entering her junior year at St. John’s Country Day School in Orange Park, Florida, where she also plays volleyball. She plays for Duval Elite in AAU, as well.

On the same day that Proffitt was on campus, new assistant coach Isoken Uzamere met with the media, too. She discussed the program’s recruiting pitch to players it is targeting.

“I think one of the biggest things, Tennessee sells itself, right?” Uzamere said. “And so that’s what kind of got the interest there. And then obviously recruiting players with a chip on their shoulder. That was it. And just being honest with them, letting them know exactly what the standard is going to be, what we’re going to do and how we’re moving forward. And that was it.”

Currently, the Lady Vols hold no commitments in the 2027 or 2028 classes. Tennessee signed a pair in the 2026 class, four-star Gabby Minus and international recruit Irene Oboavwoduo.
