The Vol Network is looking for a new football color commentator. Current Vol Network analyst and Tennessee offensive lineman Ramon Foster is joining Titans Radio as its new color commentator, he shared on 104.5 The Zone Thursday morning.
“If you know me and know my love for the game of football, you know that I will take this seriously and do what needs to be done,” Foster said. “I’ve been here in this state. I love this state. I’m from west Tennessee, played college ball in East Tennessee and dwell here with my family in middle Tennessee.”
The former veteran offensive tackle replaces the great Dave McGinnis (Coach Mac) who past away earlier this offseason after spending nine years in the roll.
Foster spent the 2025 football season sitting beside Mike Keith as the Tennessee football color commentator for the Vol Network. It was the only season that Foster spent with the Vol Network but played for the Vols from 2004 to 2008.

“Leaving Vol Network wasn’t easy for me,” Foster said. “That is home for me as well. I’ve bled for that university. Got hurt for that university. Making that move was not an easy one for me. Family played a part in this. Logistics played a part in it. But I want to reiterate a huge thank you to them, the university, Mike (Keith) for bringing me on and trusting me.”
Foster previously spent multiple years as the Titans Radio sideline reporter working with Mike Keith and the late McGinnis.
It’s a somewhat unique hire because Foster never played for the Titans and spent the entirety of his 11-year NFL career playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I understand the question of my previous employment,” Foster said. “Yes, I played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. If you are in the NFL, you are going to have different teams and connections to different places. Y’all know that’s where I laid my head and created my career that allowed this to happen. But I’m here to tell you this— my job, my purpose is to make sure I elevate this radio network, radio brand and the brand of the Titans the best I can. To paint verbal pictures to you guys, the people who listen to us on game day.”
The Vol Network has yet to announce a replacement for Foster. Last season, former Tennessee receiver Jayson Swain was apart of the broadcast team while Brent Hubbs served as the sideline reporter.
