Four-star offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson released his top three including Tennessee football on Thursday afternoon. The Vols joined Virginia and Virginia Tech in Hudson’s top group, Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong reported.
Hudson ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 388 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Chesapeake native also ranks as the No. 38 offensive tackle and No. 9 player in the state of Virginia in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Rivals rankings are higher on Hudson than anyone else, tabbing him as a four-star and the No. 281 player in the 2027 recruiting class. Hudson also ranks as the No. 22 offensive tackle and No. 7 player in Virginia according to Rivals.
Hudson currently has four official visits scheduled for the next month with trips currently planned to Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse and Tennessee. It’s unclear whether Hudson will still take his scheduled visit to Syracuse after cutting them from his top list.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive tackle’s last scheduled official visit is to Tennessee on June 19. Hudson will then take time off before announcing his college commitment on July 25.

Tennessee football’s 2027 recruiting class currently contains eight commitments including one offensive lineman— four-star, instate offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo. Uwaifo, a standout at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, was one of the Vols’ first commits in the 2027 cycle.
The Vols’ eight-commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 30 nationally and No. 10 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
