This weekend, Tennessee football is hosting one of its annual recruiting events, which receives positive feedback from attendees. The Vols are holding 865Live, bringing in a number of recruits and commits to go on a scavenger hunt across campus and get to know UT a bit better.
One of the attendees this year is Tennessee’s highest-rated commit in the class to this point. In-state wide receiver Kesean Bowman is on Rocky Top in an attempt to help reel in more recruits to join him in Knoxville.
Bowman ranks as the No. 54 overall recruit in the country, via 247 Composite. That’s good for the No. 10 wide receiver and No. 3 player out of the state of Tennessee. He plays for Brentwood Academy, just outside of Nashville.

Other commits on campus for 865Live include legacy linebacker JP Peace and defensive back Brandon ‘Slim’ Leavell. Other notable recruits in attendance include Antwan Jackson, Caden Moss, Michael Brandin Gallaway and Robert Geathers III.
Currently, Tennessee’s class of 2027 commitment list ranks just outside the top-30 on both 247 and Rivals. However, the Vols have laid a strong foundation to build on and are in good standing with a number of highly-rated recruits.
The group of nine commits features a trio of highly-touted four-stars. Headlining is in-state wide receiver, Bowman. He is a top-50 prospect and one of the top pass catchers in the class. In-state offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife are also highly ranked.
Three-stars in the class are quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, in-state legacy linebacker Peace, defensive back Carter Jamison and defensive back Leavell. UT also added the No. 2-ranked long snapper in the cycle, Sam McKeown on Friday.
