Tennessee Football is targeting a talented in-state prospect from the 2027 class, and the Vols just made it through a big hurdle over the weekend.
According to a report from 247Sports and Riley Alberts, Tennessee is one of the six finalists for offensive lineman Kyle Nabrotzky out of Brentwood High School in Brentwood, TN. The group also includes Vanderbilt, Michigan, Virginia Tech, BYU, and UCLA.
247Sports has Nabrotzky tagged as a three-star prospect, the No. 47 interior offensive lineman in the class, and the No. 30 player from the Volunteer State.
Nabrotzky previously made a trip to Rocky Top during Tennessee’s spring camp slate on March 21. Tennessee officially extended him a scholarship offer four days later. He’s also taken recent trips to Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. According to 247Sports’ recruiting timeline, Nabrotzky has upcoming official visits lined up to UCLA, Virginia Tech, and BYU.

Keeping in-state kids within their home borders is obviously a high priority for Tennessee. Out of the nine current commitments in the Vols’ 2027 class, five of them are from the Volunteer State: WR Kesean Bowman (Brentwood), OT Princeton Uwaifo (Murfreesboro), S Jaden Butler (Brownsville), LB JP Peace (Maryville), and CB Slim Leavell (Madison).
Other entries in Tennessee’s 2027 class include defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, cornerback Carter Jamison, and long snapper Sam McKeown.
247Sports currently tags Tennessee with the 32nd-ranked class in the 2027 cycle.
Nabrotzky played multiple positions on the offensive line during his junior season at Brentwood, and even took some reps at defensive tackle. He also caught a touchdown from the offensive tackle position during a trick play.
