Tennessee baseball outfielder Nate Eisfelder is entering the transfer portal after spending just one season in the Volunteer program, Volquest’s Mike Wilson and GoVols247’s Ben McKee reported on Monday afternoon.

Eisfelder hit .192 with two home runs and nine RBIs in 26 at-bats during his freshman season. Most of Eisfelder’s opportunities came in non conference play but he did start two games in the SEC Tournament, hitting 2-for-8 in games against South Carolina and Arkansas. He went 0-for-2 after subbing in against East Carolina in the NCAA Tournament.

The best moment of Eisfelder’s freshman season came against Mississippi State when he drove in a run with a single up the middle in a pinch hit at-bat.
