One of Tennessee Football’s earliest commitments in the 2027 recruiting class looks to be all Vol moving forward.

On Sunday, four-star offensive tackle commit Princeton Uwaifo put out a social media post with pictures from his official visit in Knoxville over the weekend.

His caption read, “Home GBO… It’s set in stone.” It also had multiple orange emojis and one 100 emoji. Judging by the wording, it looks like Uwaifo is doubling down on his commitment to the Vols and shutting down his recruitment moving forward.

Uwaifo originally committed to Tennessee on Nov. 2, 2025, becoming the Vols’ second player in the 2027 cycle behind linebacker JP Peace. The 6-foot-6, 342-pound prospect is one of Tennessee’s coveted four-star commitments in the class so far.

According to Rivals Industry Rankings, Uwaifo is listed as the No. 198 player in the class, the No. 16 offensive tackle in the cycle, and the No. 8 player from the Volunteer State. He currently plays at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, TN.

The numbers are good, but the fit may be even better. Brian Smith, the host of the Locked On Transfer Portal podcast, recently joined Volquest reporter Eric Cain on the Locked on Vols podcast. While diving into a number of Tennessee-related topics, Smith gave high praise for Uwaifo.

“That kid, I think he should play guard in college, but he could play tackle,” Smith said on the show. “That kid is built for Tennessee’s downhill running game. He is an animal. That kid is only ranked, like, borderline Top 100. But for this scheme that Tennessee runs, and he’s an in-state kid anyway from Murfreesboro, he could end up being a first-round draft pick. That guy could end up being the most important guy in the class, even if he ends up playing guard for Tennessee. Because we know they’re going to throw it around, but if you’re going to beat Georgia, if you’re going to beat Florida, and what I think they’re going to be, it’s going to be trenches.”

Uwaifo has been a frequent visitor on Rocky Top and chose the Vols despite receiving offers from Vanderbilt, Auburn, Missouri, Ohio State, and South Carolina.

Uwaifo’s post comes on the tail end of an exciting recruiting stretch for the Volunteers. Tennessee has picked up five new commitments over the last two weekends, including four-star prospects such as TE Malik Howard, LB Kenneth Simon II, and OT Q’Mari Hudson.
