
Air Force transfer infielder Wyatt Hanoian committed to Tennessee baseball over Florida and Ole Miss on Tuesday afternoon, he announced on Instagram.
Hanoian was a top target for Tennessee in the transfer portal with the Vols hosting the Freshman All-American on a visit on Monday, June 8.
Hanoian is coming off a standout freshman season at Air Force where he slashed .357/.498/.573 with six home runs, 14 doubles and four triples. He also drove in 49 runs. The rising sophomore will be eligible for the 2027 MLB Draft.
A 5-foot-9 California native, Hanoian spent most his time at second base for the Falcons last season but also started games as the designated hitter and right fielder. Hanoian has a strong command of the strike zone, walking 32 times and striking out just 21 times. He was hit by 24 pitches last season.

Tennessee baseball could have to replace both its starting middle infielders from its 2026 team with both Blake Grimmer and Manny Marin eligible for the 2026 MLB Draft.
Hanoian is third player to commit to Tennessee out of the transfer portal joining Mercer two-way Braydon Kersey and Northwestern LHP Brody Trosclair.
Fifteen Tennessee players have entered the transfer portal this offseason including first baseman Evan Hankins, right-handed pitcher Nic Abraham, outfielder Nate Eisfelder, shortstop Manny Marin, utility man Jay Abernathy, catcher Cash Williams, infielder Finley Bates, shortstop Ariel Antigua, infielder Ethan Moore, utility man Hunter High, utility man Chris Newstrom, outfielder Hutson Chance and right-handed pitcher Brayden Krenzel, two-way Taylor Tracey and right-handed pitcher Ari Bethea.
A number of Tennessee players have announced intentions to return for next season including outfielder Blaine Brown, RHP Landon Mack, LHP Cam Appenzeller, first baseman Levi Clark, catcher Trent Grindlinger, catcher Stone Lawless and LHP Will Haas.
