The recruitment of five-star running back David Gabriel Georges just got a lot more interesting than it already was. On Friday, his high school teammate Jordan Darren Djila Tchuisseu was extended an offer by Ohio State.

Powerhouses like Baylor School have plenty of recruits on their roster, though, with many splitting up to go their separate ways for college. However, Tchiuisseu is not just a friend, but the roommate of Gabriel Georges, with both hailing from Canada.

Tchiusseu certainly has qualities that will translate to the next level, but he’s gone under the radar as a recruit so far. His other offers are from UT Martin, Kennesaw State, Georgia State and Dartmouth.

Gabriel Georges was quick to respond to his close friend picking up the significant offer. He posted a picture of the pair with the caption “Neighbours to roommate to teammate???!”

Gabriel Georges is narrowing in on his decision, which is scheduled to be announced on July 22. He is deciding between the Buckeyes, Vols and Ole Miss after taking official visits to each and ultimately cancelling his trip to Georgia.

According to 247 Composite, he is considered the No. 10 player in the class, No. 2 running back and top player from the state of Tennessee. Though initially from Quebec, he currently lives in Chattanooga, where he plays for Baylor School.

The Vols have a unique edge in the race for his talents. Tennessee currently rosters his former high school teammates at Baylor School in Chattanooga, five-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda and three-star defensive back Jamyan Theodore.
