A new era has officially begun in Knoxville as Tennessee begins a new 10-year partnership with adidas. The Vols were an adidas school for nearly two decades before spending the previous 11 years partnered with Nike.
But beginning on Wednesday, Tennessee was officially back with the three stripes. The Vols released a pair of videos teasing their new uniforms and gear on Thursday and will officially roll out all the new uniforms next week.
Accompanying the teaser videos on Thursday was an official press release from the athletic department with quotes from all the head coaches on the move. Here’s what Josh Heupel, Rick Barnes and others said about the move.
