Former Tennessee baseball star Andrew Fischer comes to Knoxville this week for a six-game set against the Knoxville Smokies amidst a stellar debut professional season. Tuesday through Saturday’s games start at 7 p.m. ET while first pitch for Sunday’s series finale is at 1 p.m. ET.

Fischer began the year in High-A Wisconsin but the Milwaukee Brewers recently promoted him to Double-A Biloxi. The step up in competition has done little to slow down Fischer. In fact, the third baseman has been at his best over his last seven games.

Fischer is hitting 8-for-24 (.333) with five home runs and 10 RBIs. Add on six walks over that stretch and Fischer has posted an incredible .467 on-base percentage.

Now in 16 games in Double A, Fischer is slashing .288/.439/.827 with eight home runs, two doubles and one triple. He’s also driven in 14 runs and reached base on balls 13 times.

Fischer has played in 70 total games this season where he’s slashing .296/.442/.708 with 28 home runs, 12 doubles and 64 RBIs. He is currently on pace to hit 65 home runs over the 162 game season.

Volunteer fans will get the chance to watch Fischer in person too. Biloxi travels to Knoxville for a six-game series against the Smokies from July 7-12. Milwaukee’s AAA affiliate is the Nashville Sounds, so if they promote Fischer then middle Tennessee fans will get the chance to watch the young star.

Fischer was phenomenal in his lone season at Tennessee. He hit .341 while reaching base in every single game during the 2025 campaign. The Ole Miss transfer also totaled 25 home runs, 65 RBI and 70 runs. Fischer earned First-Team All-American and All-SEC First-Team honors for his tremendous season.

Milwaukee selected Fischer with the 20th pick in the 2026 MLB Draft last summer and the left-handed slugger is quickly rewarding that decision.
