The adidas era at Tennessee officially got underway again last week with the calendar turning from June to July. Tennessee began its uniform reveals on Monday, releasing the orange uniforms for all sports.

The uniforms are very similar to before. There’s just two minor differences. One is that there is one white stripe around the collar and the sleeves instead of the two white stripes previously. The Adidas logo is also centered in contract to the Nike logo which was on the right side of the chest.

Tennessee men’s basketball has been as consistent as any program on campus over the last five years, making three straight trips to the Elite Eight following a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2023. The Vols have won a SEC Regular-Season and Tournament championship in that same stretch.

Expectations are again high for Tennessee this season as Rick Barnes and his staff rebuilt the Vols’ roster with one of the nation’s best transfer portal hauls including standout VCU guard Terrence Hill Jr. and Wake Forest guard Juke Harris.
Next, Tennessee will reveal white uniforms on Tuesday. For men’s basketball, those will be the standard home jerseys. On Wednesday, the Summitt Blue uniforms will be revealed, which Tennessee men’s basketball has not worn before.Thursday will be Dark Mode uniforms, which the Vols added to their rotation under Nike two seasons ago.
“This is an exciting day for the University of Tennessee,” Barnes said of the move to adidas last week. We are thrilled to align with a company that deeply values not only our school’s immense competitive successes, but the power of our brand and the unmatched passion of Vol Nation. There is no question adidas is the right partner for UT in this new age of college athletics.”
