Lady Vols basketball has gotten a look at its three new primary uniforms under adidas. With the change from Nike, Tennessee showcased its new orange, white and Summitt Blue sets.
There’s a key difference in the uniforms that isn’t being talked about much, though. While many have focused on the piping and outlines, it’s the rare look at the back of the jerseys that reveals the change.
In previous Nike uniforms, the last name plate was placed above the number. Now, a Lady Vols logo is above the number, with the last name sitting just below. With women’s basketball players often having longer hair, this gives fans an easier time reading.

This should be it for the reveal of new adidas Lady Vols uniforms. On Monday, the orange set was released and Tuesday saw the reveal of the white jerseys. Thursday will be ‘Dark Mode’ day, but the Lady Vols don’t have a set of black uniforms.
The other alternate jerseys that the Lady Vols wear are ones with purple accents for ‘We Back Pat’ and pink accents for ‘Play 4 Kay’. However, those will likely not be revealed until shortly before they’re worn during the season.
“We couldn’t be more excited to launch our new partnership with adidas,” Lady Vols basketball head coach Kim Caldwell said. “It’s a global brand that is part of the incredible history of Tennessee Athletics, recognizes the strength of our brand and is committed to investing in the future of our student-athletes and programs. We’re proud to rep the ‘3-Stripes’ and unite in building on to the incredibly successful era our department is experiencing.”
