With the rollout of new adidas uniforms across Tennessee Athletics this past week, we got our first look at a trio of Lady Vols basketball jerseys. This featured the orange set on Monday, white on Tuesday and then Summitt Blue alternates on Wednesday.
However, it appears the Lady Vols may not be done. On Thursday, the official X account of Tennessee women’s basketball posted ‘more coming soon’ to tease what appears to be a future release.
What exactly the tease is for isn’t clear, though. Under Nike, there was just a trio of primary uniforms used, which were the orange, white and Summitt Blue. The Lady Vols also had a uniform with pink accents for Play4Kay and purple for We Back Pat, which could be what’s in store.

Other fans have theorized it could be a potential new look, though. With football, men’s basketball and baseball having Dark Mode uniforms under Nike, some think it could be a debut of Dark Mode for the Lady Vols. Others think it could also be a throwback set from adidas’ first deal with UT that saw immense success under Pat Summitt.
“We couldn’t be more excited to launch our new partnership with adidas,” Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell said. “It’s a global brand that is part of the incredible history of Tennessee Athletics, recognizes the strength of our brand and is committed to investing in the future of our student-athletes and programs. We’re proud to rep the ‘3-Stripes’ and unite in building on to the incredibly successful era our department is experiencing.”
