Coming off a third-straight Elite Eight appearance, Tennessee basketball reloaded this offseason in an attempt to break through to the program’s first-ever Final Four. In that effort, UT hammered the transfer portal to land big-name pieces. None of the additions ranked as high as Wake Forest guard Juke Harris, though, who picked the Vols over an entrance to the NBA draft and countless college suitors.
Landing a transfer portal piece as talented as Harris comes with a hefty price tag, though. With On3’s updated NIL valuation tool, we have a look at what he is being compensated. With a green check next to the number, indicating a confirmed deal by On3, Harris is listed at $4 million.
According to On3, this ties Harris for the 12th-biggest NIL deal across all sports. It also makes him tied for the eighth-highest mark for a basketball player and third for SEC basketball players behind Kentucky’s Milan Momcilovic ($6 million) and Florida’s Thomas Haugh ($5 million).

Harris is projected to be the top scoring option for Tennessee this upcoming season. He is coming off a strong sophomore season in which he averaged 21.4 points on 44.4% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from three-point range at Wake Forest. The Salisbury, North Carolina, native made 87 three-pointers during the 2025-26 season.
“Another thing that (Rick Barnes) did that separated himself from everybody else is he came in and told me how good I was, but he also got on me about some stuff they can see that I need to work on,” Harris said on The Mike Keith Show. “Like turning my body more when I come off screen, turning my body facing the goal. Different things that I need to do on the defensive side, fighting over screens, making sure I’m closing out. So they showed me little stuff like that. And I seen some stuff that I needed to work on that I didn’t even know, that they had seen. So I feel like I’ll be more of a complete player going into Tennessee next year.”
Harris is one of a number of high-upside guards Tennessee brought in through the portal, as well. Other names to know include VCU’s Terrence Hill Jr., Cal’s Dai Dai Ames and Belmont’s Tyler Lundblade.
