A pair of Tennessee baseball superstars in the Tony Vitello Era, Blake Burke and Andrew Fischer, are tearing it up in minor league baseball. Both in the Milwaukee Brewers’ system with the Biloxi Shuckers, the duo mashed in the same game on Sunday in an extra-innings win over the Chattanooga Lookouts.
Burke had the finest day, finishing 3-for-6 with three runs, five RBI and two home runs. In the series, Burke finished red-hot with a line of 9-for-21 at the plate with a double, 5 home runs and 11 RBI.
Fischer also had a great day at the plate, though. He finished 2-for-6 with a run, two RBI and a home run.

On the year, Burke is hitting at a .274 average and a .362 on-base percentage. He has 26 home runs, 22 doubles, two triples, 77 RBI, 58 runs and 24 stolen bases across 84 games at the Double-A level.
Fischer has been with Biloxi for 31 games and owns a .255 average and .378 on-base percentage. He has 12 home runs, four doubles, two triples, 23 RBI, 27 runs and five stolen bases.
Burke played at Tennessee from 2022-24 before turning to the MLB draft. He was a key factor in the 2024 national championship as the team’s starting first baseman and a key bat in the lineup. The following year, Fischer transferred in from Ole Miss for his junior year before going pro. He was one of the best bats in the SEC and played a strong first base, as well.
