Below are snapshots of the five current favorites to hoist the Stanley Cup this June, accompanied by their current best-value odds at the leading online sportsbooks.

Stanley Cup odds: Edmonton Oilers (+700 at bet365)

Speaking of Canadian contenders, looks who’s atop the current list of favorites.

And that’s even with the defending Western Conference champs tied for only the league’s seventh-highest point total (72) entering play Wednesday night.

Still, oddsmakers and bettors expect the dynamic 1-2 punch of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid to make some serious noise come the postseason

And, hey, no pressure, though, as a Canadian team infamously hasn’t hoisted the Cup since Montreal in 1993.

Stanley Cup odds: Carolina Hurricanes (+950 at bet365)

Carolina trails the Washington Capitals by a full 14 points in the Metropolitan division but is the current consensus Eastern Conference favorite.

The Hurricanes, though, will have to prove it come playoff time.

Carolina has finished with 111 or more points in each of the last three seasons but hasn’t made it to the Stanley Cup Final since beating the Oilers in 2006.

Stanley Cup odds: Florida Panthers (+950 at Caesars)

The defending champs are seeking to join the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins as back-to-back Stanley Cup champions in the last decade.

However, making it out of the East will be anything but easy as the Panthers are currently battling the Toronto Maple Leafs for Atlantic Division supremacy.

And as of Wednesday, Florida had only attracted 4.2 percent of both the BetMGM Sportsbook Stanley Cup tickets and handle — the 10th most in each category.

Stanley Cup odds: Dallas Stars (+1000 at Caesars)

The Stars trail only the front-running Winnipeg Jets (85 points) in the Western Conference with 76 points and a plus-44 goal differential.

And Dallas has reached at least the conference final in three of the last five seasons.

However, getting to a second Stanley Cup Final in the last six years will be a Western Conference challenge with the Oilers, Jets and 2023-champion Vegas Golden Knights potentially standing in the way.

Stanley Cup odds: Washington Capitals (+1200 at DraftKings)

After opening the season with +10000 Stanley Cup odds, Alex Ovechkin and Co., are the surprise of the top five.

The Capitals currently reside atop the Metropolitan Division and Eastern Conference with 84 points — 10 more than the Atlantic Division-leading Maple Leafs.

But will Washington’s success carry over into the postseason?

That’s the key question with the Caps having not made it the past the opening round (in five playoff appearances) since capturing the Cup in 2018.
