
The 2025 MLB Draft begins Sunday night and it projects to be the busiest of the Tony Vitello era for Tennessee baseball. Tennessee could have anywhere from nine to 12 players selected in the draft but that’s only part of what makes it eventful.
Eight Tennessee transfer commits are eligible for the draft while a number of the Vols’ high school signees could opt for professional baseball instead of college baseball. With the draft just days away, multiple sites are releasing their final mock drafts and prospect rankings.
The Vols have nine current players, two transfer portal commits and six high school signees ranked in the MLB Pipeline top 250 list, nine current players plus commits in the ESPN two-round mock draft, fove current players plus commits The Athletic one-round mock draft and six current players plus commits in the CBS Sports one-round mock draft.
