Four-Star Tennessee Offensive Line Target Announcing College Commitment Wednesday

Four-star Tennessee offensive tackle Kamari Blair is announcing his college commitment at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday night as the Vols look to remain hot on the recruiting trail.

A Clarksville native, Blair is down to a top three that includes Tennessee, Ole Miss and South Carolina. Blair was also considering Wisconsin before eliminating the Badgers from contention to land his commitment.

Blair ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 290 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-6, 280-pound prospect also ranks as the No. 25 offensive tackle and the No. 9 player in the state of Tennessee in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

Tennessee hosted the blue-chip lineman on multiple visits during his recruitment including for its 865 Live recruiting weekend in late May and later in June for his official visit. Blair also took official visits to Wisconsin, South Carolina and Ole Miss but Tennessee received the last of the official visits. He also took too unofficial visits to Ole Miss this spring with the Rebels appearing as Tennessee’s top competition to land the four-star lineman.

Josh Heupel and his staff are off to a strong start recruiting the ‘Volunteer State’ in the 2026 recruiting cycle. They boast commitments from eight players from the state of Tennessee including from four of the state’s top eight players.

Tennessee is still battling for a handful of top players in the state including athlete Joel Wyatt (No. 2 player in the state) and safety Craig Tutt (No. 6 player) in addition to Blair. The Vols are battling Vanderbilt for Wyatt and Ole Miss for Tutt.

The Vols’ 2026 recruiting class currently contains 21 commitments including from three offensive lineman— four-star tackle Gabriel Osenda, four-star tackle J.B. Shabazz and three-star guard Edward Baker.

Tennessee’s 21-commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 13 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings. Landing Blair would boost the class to No. 12 nationally.
