From the desert of Arrakis to the mountains of Rocky Top?
Worldwide actor and Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet had Tennessee fans talking this week. Not for any movie that he’s done or quote on a press docket, but because of a picture he posted of himself to Instagram.
Chalamet’s post from Wednesday has a picture of him wearing orange and white checkerboard overalls. There’s no mistaking things either. This isn’t just an orange t-shirt in a similar shade, or a fashion statement like when artist Drake wore the Tennessee “finesse” sweater.
The overalls look like they were shipped straight over from the Vol Shop or another Tennessee outlet of sorts.
Heck, I think my old college roommate has this same exact pair sitting in his closet right now.
These look just like the baggy, Pantone 151 checkerboard overalls that you’ll often see while walking around Neyland Stadium before a Tennessee football game in the fall.

More From RTI: First Look at Tennessee Football Players in Traditional Home Threads
Born in New York City in December 1995, Chalamet is a well-known New York Knicks fan. But there hasn’t been much known about any sort of college allegiances.
College football fans can sometimes be gatekeepers when it comes to actors and musicians coming into the sport. Red flags went up online when it was announced that Chalamet would be the guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay before conference championship weekend this past winter. Surprisingly, Chalamet was a hit.
What do you think… Is Timothée Chalamet the latest celebrity to join the Tennessee Volunteers fanbase? Just a coincidence?
Either way, we’ll keep an eye on the Neyland Stadium box seats this fall… Just in case Paul Atreides/Willy Wonka drops by.
