Kim Caldwell and Lady Vols basketball are looking to the future in their recruiting efforts.

On Friday, Tennessee extended a scholarship offer to Morghan Reckley. She is a four-star point guard in the 2028 class, according to ESPNW. At the moment, ESPNW only has a top 25 released for the class. Despite Reckley’s high grade, she is not listed in that group.

Reckley stands at 5-foot-7 at the moment, but has time to grow as she enters just her sophomore year of high school. She is from Fayetteville, Georgia, where she plays for Sandy Creek High School.

Reckley also picked up recent offers from the likes of Wake Forest, Arkansas, North Carolina, Michigan, USC, Purdue and Houston. She also holds longstanding offers from Virginia Tech, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Pitt, Auburn, Texas Tech, Baylor, West Virginia, Syracuse, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Miami, Louisville and Alabama.

So far, Reckley has taken a good number of visits. This includes a trip to see the Lady Vols on Oct. 23, 2024. Along with head coach Kim Caldwell, she is being recruited by assistant coach Gabe Lazo. Lazo has been a key piece of UT’s impressive recruiting efforts since Caldwell arrived on campus.

Reckley has also visited Georgia, Auburn, Cincinnati, Texas and North Carolina.

Tennessee currently holds no commitments in the 2026, 2027 or 2028 cycles. However, in Caldwell’s first season as head coach, she inked the No. 2 class in the country, according to ESPNW. This included a trio of McDonald’s All-Americans in Mia Pauldo, Deniya Prawl and Jaida Civil. She also landed top-100 prospects Mya Pauldo and Lauren Hurst.

In the transfer portal, ESPN tabbed the Lady Vols as the best incoming class with UCLA’s Janiah Barker, LSU’s Jersey Wolfenbarger and SMU’s Nya Robertson joining.
