FanDuel promo code: NFL Week 1 preseason previews, odds

There are a handful of preseason games beginning on Thursday night, and we’ve handpicked the ones to keep an eye on as the preseason gets underway.

Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles: 7:30 p.m. ET, Thursday, Aug. 7

The reigning Super Bowl champions get their first taste of competition football this season when they host the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday. Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed that quarterback Joe Burrow and a select group of starters will play “several series” in the preseason opener, which will give Burrow his first on-field reps since injuring his wrist in Week 11 last season.

Las Vegas Raiders at Seattle Seahawks: 10 p.m. ET, Thursday, Aug. 7

New Raiders head coach Pete Carroll meets his former team, the Seattle Seahawks, in his first official action back in the league. Like Cincy coach Zac Taylor, Carroll will let his starters play some reps to open the preseason. The Seahawks, however, will not play their starters, which includes new quarterback Sam Darnold.

Washington Commanders at New England Patriots: 7:30 p.m. ET, Friday, Aug. 8

The saga of wideout Terry McLaurin and his contract has dominated the offseason talk, and on Friday, the Commanders will take the field without him as he continues his quest for a trade. For New England, Tom Brady’s statue will be unveiled at Foxborough, and fans are expected to get a taste of Year 2 Drake Maye under center.
