The SEC released Tennessee basketball’s complete conference schedule Wednesday, putting the Vols’ complete 2025-26 schedule into view.
Tennessee opens up SEC play on the road on Jan. 3, facing John Calipari and Arkansas at Bud Walton Arena. The Vols opened up SEC play against Arkansas at home a season ago, routing the Razorbacks 76-52. Tennessee’s SEC home opener comes a few days later against Texas.
Rick Barnes’ 11th Tennessee team faces every SEC team at least once while facing rivals Alabama, Kentucky and Vanderbilt twice.
Of the teams that Tennessee faces once, they host Texas, Texas A&M, Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU and Oklahoma at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center. The Vols’ lone meetings with Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri and South Carolina are all on the road.
Tennessee’s SEC schedule is front loaded with the Vols facing Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Alabama and Auburn all in January. Three of Tennessee’s first five SEC games include matchups at Arkansas and Florida and a home matchup against Kentucky.
The Vols close to the regular season isn’t quite easy, but it is lighter than the jump. Tennessee’s five final games include two matchups against Vanderbilt, road trips to Missouri and South Carolina and a home game against Alabama.
Tennessee has a challenging non conference schedule that includes neutral site matchups against Rutgers (Las Vegas), Houston (Las Vegas) and Illinois (Nashville), a home game against Louisville and a road game at Syracuse. The Vols will also play another game in Las Vegas that will likely be against a power five opponent.
