On Saturday morning, Tennessee football took to Neyland Stadium for the first fall camp scrimmage ahead of the 2025 season.
Afterward, Vols head coach Josh Heupel met with the media to discuss the quarterback battle, Boo Carter’s status, Jermod McCoy’s injury and more. RTI’s Ryan Schumpert and Ryan Sylvia broke down his comments afterward, with less than a month before the season-opener vs. Syracuse in Atlanta.
“Great to be out here inside the stadium for scrimmage,” Heupel said. “As close to a game day environment as we’re going to get before we kickoff here in a few weeks. A lot of good. A lot of things to learn from, too. Got situational football in, which is good for everybody, in particular quarterbacks. But excited to go watch the tape.”
