The Lady Vols basketball’s entire 2025-26 schedule is set, but game details for some of the matchups are still not confirmed. On Thursday, the details for Tennessee’s bout with Louisville in Brooklyn were revealed. The Lady Vols will meet the Cardinals on Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. ET on FOX. Gates open at 9:30.

Just after Tennessee’s game, UConn will meet Iowa on the same court. That game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. A year ago, the Lady Vols defeated Iowa in the Official Shark Beauty Women’s Champions Classic event to mark one of the first key victories under Kim Caldwell.

This will be the sixth time Tennessee will meet Louisville in a women’s basketball game. The Lady Vols are 2-3 all-time in the series and have lost all three of their most recent meetings. This featured games in 2022, 2017 and 2013. UT won under Pat Summitt in both 2010 and 2009.

“Including our conference opponents, our schedule includes the top six teams and 10 of the top 20-ranked programs in the early preseason polls,” Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell said. “We have our work cut out for us, but I believe our challenging non-conference opponents will better prepare us for what we’re going to see in the Southeastern Conference.

“We’re a little out of balance in terms of home and away ranked opponents, and that’s something that takes some time to even out. We’ll continue to work on it going forward, but I think this year it will allow us to really test our players and get them ready for conference play.”
