Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and a trio of players met with the media on Monday afternoon as the Volunteers officially kick off game week in Knoxville. The fall camp schedule is in the rear-view mirror, paving the way for Tennessee to get back to its normal in-season routine en route to the season-opening game against Syracuse on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, GA.
Heupel spoke with the media for just under nine minutes on Monday, hitting on topics such as Boo Carter’s status for Saturday’s game, his impression of his team heading into the season, the quarterbacks and wide receivers heading into the season, the challenges of preparing for Syracuse’s new-look offense, and much more.
Tennessee’s three players on Monday included linebacker Jeremiah Telander, running back DeSean Bishop, and defensive back Andre Turrentine.
