Voice of the Vols Mike Keith was in his bag on the Vol Network during Tennessee Football’s season-opening win over Syracuse on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, GA. The longtime Tennessee Titans broadcaster made the move to the Vol Network in January and has been building to this first football season in Knoxville ever since.

It certainly didn’t disappoint.

From his patented “saaaaaack!” call to a reprisal of John Ward’s “it’s football time in Tennessee!” opening line, Keith had Vol Nation stirring during his radio broadcast on Saturday in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Here’s a look at a full 2+ minute highlight reel from Keith’s season-opening game with the Volunteers, on top of a highlight reel from the non-conference game.

We’ll also use this time to give a shoutout to Spanish play-by-play broadcaster Carlos Lopez for an electric call on Joey Aguilar’s touchdown bomb to Braylon Staley.

No. 24 Tennessee knocked off Syracuse by a score of 45-26 on Saturday afternoon in Mercedes-Benz Stadium to start the season with a statement win. The Vols put the right foot forward as quarterback Joey Aguilar threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns during the win. Tennessee’s defense got banged up throughout the game, but still found a way to make an impact. Newly acquired Colorado transfer Colton Hood ended up in the endzone after taking a scoop-and-score fumble to the house in the first half of the game.
