It’s officially Week 2 of the college football season in Knoxville. The Volunteers are coming off a season-opening win over Syracuse on Saturday and will host ETSU in the home-opener this weekend on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The Vols are looking to go 2-0 to start the season for the fourth time in the Heupel era on Rocky Top.
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and a trio of players met with the media on Monday morning to close the book on Syracuse and begin previewing things against ETSU. In addition to discussing the usual points, such as the quarterback’s success and areas to work on this week, Heupel also provided some significant injury updates on Tennessee cornerbacks Rickey Gibson III and Jaxson Moi.
Tennessee’s three players on Monday included tight end Miles Kitselman, offensive lineman Jesse Perry, and defensive lineman Tyree Weathersby.
