No. 15 Tennessee will host No. 6 Georgia in a Week 3 rivalry clash from Knoxville, TN, this Saturday afternoon. The game will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET during a day full of on-campus excitement, such as ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast from Ayers Hall on Saturday morning and UT’s Checker Neyland game environment.
Tennessee originally began the week as a 7.5-point underdog according to multiple outlets on Sunday. That line quickly moved, though, coming in at +3.5 for the Vols as of Tuesday morning. It’s an interesting swing considering the early-season nature of this game.
Heading into the game on Saturday, Tennessee is currently a point underdog at home. That’s the best value on the Tennessee side of things.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel is still looking for his first win against the rival Bulldogs, but this game presents an interesting wrinkle that past games haven’t had. Tennessee and Georgia have traditionally played in the back half of the year for the last few decades, but this is a game that is kicking off both teams’ SEC slates. The Vols and the Bulldogs have had plenty of season tape out when they’ve met up in the Josh Heupel era – not this time, though.
Tennessee has only played Syracuse and ETSU so far. Georgia, meanwhile, has only played Marshall and Austin Peay. It’s not hard to believe that UT and UGA have only used a fraction of their playbooks so far, leading to the possibility of plenty of unpredictability when the ball is kicked off on Saturday.
