While Tennessee football is preparing for its rivalry showdown against Georgia on Saturday afternoon, Tennessee basketball is preparing for a major recruiting weekend where they’ll host a pair of top 50 recruits on official visits.
Both four-star power forward Latrell Allmond and four-star wing Ralph Scott are arriving in Knoxville for official visits Thursday night, multiple sources told RTI. They will be apart of an electric campus environment surrounding the big-time football matchup in Knoxville.
Allmond ranks as the No. 26 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The highest rated four-star in the class, Allmond also ranks as the No. 6 power forward and the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
Tennessee has long viewed Allmond as a priority in the 2026 recruiting cycle and quickly went to visit him two weeks ago when the open recruiting period began. Tennessee made Allmond’s top nine back over the summer and the blue-chip recruit has already officially visited Indiana and has official visits scheduled to Oklahoma State and Virginia for later this month.
The Vols also have a tie on their roster to Allmond. While the 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward is attending Petersburg High School for his high school senior season, Allmond played at John Marshall High School with Tennessee freshman point guard Troy Henderson.

Scott ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 37 player in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247sports composite rankings. A standout at IMG Academy in Florida, Scott also ranks as the No. 17 small forward in his class.
The 6-foot-7, 195-pound wing’s weekend trip to Knoxville is his first visit at Tennessee. Scott visited Houston and Texas A&M the last two weeks and has an official visit scheduled to Syracuse in October.
Tennessee football has yet to land a commit in the 2026 recruiting cycle but is pursuing a number of top recruits. Five-star point guard Miles Sadler kicked off a fall full of visits with an official visit last weekend while four-star wing Gage Mayfield visited back in the summer.
The Vols also have official visits scheduled with five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr, five-star wing Bryson Howard, five-star forward Christian Collins Jr, four-star wing Bo Ogden, four-star wing Manny Green, four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis and four-star power forward Cody Peck for later this fall.
Rippey, Howard, Collins, Jervis and Peck are all currently scheduled to visit Tennessee the weekend of its exhibition matchup against Duke as part of a major recruiting weekend.
