Tennessee football has 15 minutes to go, but it holds a lead over Georgia heading into the fourth quarter. That’s in large part in thanks to the play of wide receiver Chris Brazzell.
The second-year Vols now has caught three touchdowns in the first three periods of play. None have been bigger than the final catch, marking a 56-yard strike on a jump ball. It brought his line to five catches for 162 yards and the trio of scores. It also snapped a 20-0 run that UT was on the wrong side of with the game seemingly slipping away.
Instead, it brought the score to 28-27 in favor of the Vols and brought the previously deflated crowd back into the game.

More From RTI: It Took Tennessee Football Just One Quarter Do Something It Previously Hadn’t Against Georgia
Brazzell caught his first touchdown of the game on the second drive of the game. It was another jump ball situation, with defensive pass interference being called and declined. That one went 73 yards to give UT a 14-7 lead. He would catch the next one, as well, on a 14-yard reception.
The early scoring resulted in some notable marks. The 21 first-quarter points were the most that Josh Heupel has scored on Georgia, not in a quarter, but in an entire game. The previous mark was the 17 UT produced in 2024 and 2021. Tennessee has scored first in each of the four contests with Heupel leading the Vols, as well, with this one no different.
In one quarter, Aguilar has also topped the passing mark set by Nico Iamaleava against Georgia in four quarters a year ago, as well. He notched 213 yards and two touchdowns on a perfect 14-for-14 passing with no interceptions. He also punched in a four-yard touchdown run to open the game.
