Tennessee football had a chance to take down Georgia, but fell just short. After the 44-41 overtime win for the Bulldogs, head coach Kirby Smart, quarterback Gunner Stockton and defensive back KJ Bolden met with the media.
Stockton finished the game, his first SEC road start, with 304 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He completed 23-of-31 passes to get to this mark, including a fourth-down strike to tie the game with little time remaining. He also ran for 38 yards and a touchdown on 13 attempts.
Bolden recorded seven tackles, three of which were solo, and grabbed an interception off Joey Aguilar. The Vols’ quarterback, Aguilar, finished with 371 passing yards and four touchdowns with two picks on 24-of-36 passing.
