Tennessee football is now set to begin the bulk of SEC play. After winning three out-of-conference games and dropping an SEC battle with Georgia in overtime, UT will play five straight conference foes on the schedule. The first of this set is against Mississippi State for the first road game of the year.

On Sunday, the odds and betting lines were updated to reflect the four games both teams have played. According to FanDuel, on the morning of Sept. 21, Tennessee is a 10.5-point favorite in the game. On the moneyline, you can get UT at -360 and MSU at +280.

So far, the money and bets are swarming to the Vols. According to FanDuel’s metrics, 64% of the money and 80% of bettors have picked Tennessee to cover the spread. At this point, UT is 3-1 against the spread on FanDuel. Mississippi State has covered in all four of its wins, as well.

The over/under point total between the teams is at 61.5 points. With both Josh Heupel and Jeff Lebby known for dynamic offenses, a shootout is seemingly expected. UT’s games have gone over in all four contests, while Mississippi State has gone over in just one of four.

Vegas has also updated some odds that took a look at the season as a whole. Tennessee is listed at +3500 to win the national championship, which is the 13th-best mark in the country and eighth in the SEC. To win the conference title, UT is at +2700. This is the ninth-best in the SEC.

Vols quarterback Joey Aguilar also remains firmly in the mix to win the Heisman Trophy. He sits at +1400 to win the award after his showing against UAB in the first half and some change. This tied for fifth in the nation.

For Tennessee to reach these lofty expectations and for Aguilar to have a shot to win the Heisman, a win in Starkville will be imperative. Mississippi State is 4-0 with three wins over cupcakes and a strong win over Arizona State. Kickoff between the Vols and Bulldogs is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. ET and will air on SEC Network.
