While there was never serious buzz around the Lady Vols basketball program and the recruitment of Addison Bjorn, there were some ties. In her ‘Final 15’ released in January, she included Tennessee in the long list of schools.

Well, this weekend, Bjorn made another cut to her list. She is now down to seven programs, featuring Notre Dame, Iowa, UConn, North Carolina, Duke, Texas and Kansas. UT was not featured. She will take an official visit to each of these schools as she narrows in her focus.

Bjorn is a five-star small forward, according to 247 composite rankings. She is considered the No. 9 recruit in the country, No. 2 small forward and No. 1 player out of Missouri. She plays for Park Hill South in Riverside, Missouri.

“Bjorn’s game is built on a combination of conditioning and versatility,” 247 director of women’s basketball scouting Brandon Clay wrote. “Bjorn never appears to be winded and can defend multiple positions on the floor. Bjorn is battle-tested as she’s already won two Gold Medals with USA Basketball. She has room to continue improving as a perimeter shotmaker. That’s another piece to her developmental puzzle that can help Bjorn grow into a role that’s similar to the one played by UCLA starter Gabriela Jaquez.”

Tennessee has already landed its top-ranked target in the 2026 class. Oliviyah Edwards committed to the Lady Vols last Saturday before the football team played Georgia. She was on her official visit at the time.

Edwards is a consensus five-star recruit and the No. 2 player in the class on ESPNW. This was her second time in Knoxville after she previously took an unofficial visit in January. Edwards is a 6-foot-3 power forward with elite athleticism. She has displayed the ability to dunk with ease before her senior year of high school had even begun. That’s not just in warmups either; she’s already dunked in game formats.

Some other names to know in the 2026 class for Tennessee include Jacy Abii, Trinity Jones, Bri Crittendon, Bella Flemings and Gabby Minus.
