On Tuesday, Lady Vols basketball will get their official practices underway ahead of the 2025-26 season. To preview the set of practices, Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell met with the media to give her thoughts.
Caldwell was asked about the status of senior guard Ruby Whitehorn, her recent recruiting success, Candace Parker and more.
Caldwell enters her second year as the Lady Vols’ head coach after spending one at Marshall and winning a Division II national championship. In her first year at UT, she steered the program to a 24-10 overall record, including an 8-8 mark in SEC play. Tennessee upset UConn in the regular season and Ohio State in the NCAA Tournament to advance to the Sweet 16.
This off-season, Caldwell signed the No. 2 high school recruiting class and the top-ranked transfer portal class in the country. This is paired with notable returners Whitehorn, Talaysia Cooper, Zee Spearman and more.
