Tennessee Football had four players, including quarterback Joey Aguilar, speak with the media on Wednesday morning in Knoxville as the Vols go through their bye week routine. Tennessee is off this weekend following a win against Mississippi State on the road last Saturday, and will return to action in Week 7 with a home game against Arkansas and new interim head coach Bobby Petrino.
The bye week gives Tennessee’s players a chance to downshift momentarily and recover after the five-game stretch to start the season. The Vols are 4-1 to start the year with wins over Syracuse and Mississippi State and an overtime loss to Georgia. On the other side of the bye week, Tennessee will have a slate of four-straight SEC games before its next open date: vs Arkansas, at Alabama, at Kentucky, vs Oklahoma.
In addition to a press conference from head coach Josh Heupel on Wednesday, Tennessee also had four players speak with the media: QB Joey Aguilar, CB Ty Remond, TE Jack Van Dorselaer, and EDGE rusher Caleb Herring.
