The Alabama Crimson Tide will host the Vanderbilt Commodores in SEC action this Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa, AL. The Commodores will look to keep its undefeated season alive in T-Town, while the Crimson Tide is aiming to build off last week’s win at Georgia and keep climbing the Southeastern Conference ladder.

It’s a high-profile showdown that has attracted ESPN’s College GameDay to set up shop for on Saturday morning, and one that Tennessee fans should have their eye on during the open date.

Alabama is currently a point favorite heading into Saturday’s game. Here’s a look at some of the best odds for the game:

Both Alabama and Vanderbilt are led by strong passing attacks. Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson is third in the SEC in passing yards per game (284.5), while Commodores quarterback Diego Pavia is tied with Tennessee’s Joey Aguilar for the most touchdown passes in the conference (13). Both teams will need to slow down their opponent’s quarterback if they want to win on Saturday.

This game is interesting from a Tennessee perspective. The Vols will meet both teams this season, with a game at Alabama on Oct. 18 and a home game against Vanderbilt in the season finale on Nov. 29. If Alabama beats Vanderbilt, it would likely set up a contest between the Vols and Tide in which both teams try to stave off the critical second loss on the season. If Vanderbilt wins, it proves to be a momentum-capturing win that catapults the Commodores into the Top 10 of the AP rankings and continues their undefeated season. While Tennessee does have six straight wins over Vanderbilt, the Commodores’ season-ending matchup could have massive playoff implications at stake.
