Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and a trio of players met with the media on Monday afternoon in Knoxville as the Vols prepare to return to play against Arkansas this upcoming weekend in Neyland Stadium.
Tennessee is 4-1 on the season with wins over Syracuse and Mississippi State and a loss to Georgia. The Vols now stare down a four-game SEC slate, including vs Arkansas, at Alabama, at Kentucky, and vs Oklahoma before their second and final bye week.
While speaking with the media for nearly 11 minutes on Monday, Heupel hit on a number of topics. He answered questions about Arkansas’s new-look coaching staff after Sam Pittman was fired, improvements that he’s looking for from his team out of the bye week, Jermod McCoy’s recovery timeline, containing Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green, and much more.
Tennessee also had three players speak to the media to kick off the week, including defensive lineman Jaxson Moi, wide receiver Braylon Staley, and safety Kaleb Beasley.
