This weekend, Tennessee basketball is set to host a pair of recruits for unofficial visits. Previously, it was reported that four-star 2027 combo guard LJ Smith would be in town. On Friday, 2028 forward Joshua Huggins announced he will be in Knoxville for an unofficial visit, as well.

Huggins is an in-state prospect out of Madison, Tennessee. He will play for Briarcrest this season, the same school Kennedy Chandler played at early in his high school career. It has also produced some notable names on the Vols’ football team.

So far, Huggins has reeled in four offers. This includes Memphis, Tennessee State, Alabama State and Jacksonville. He stands at 6-foot-6 and is considered a strong rebounder and tough shot maker.

More From RTI: Manny Green Talks Commitment To Tennessee Basketball, Fitting The Program’s Grit

While Tennessee holds no commitments from any underclassmen, it is off to a very strong start in the 2026 class. On Friday, the Vols got great news with four-star Manny Green announcing he will head to UT. The forward is the No. 91 player in the cycle, according to 247.

“It matches up with it a lot,” Green told RTI’s Ryan Schumpert. “From how I’ve been coached in high school to how Rick Barnes coaches. How the premier players he’s had through the program and that he has coached, that’s the main thing— you got to have that to play for him.”

Previously, Tennessee also landed four-star wing Ralph Scott on the final day of September. He is the No. 35 player in the class on 247.

“On the visit I just felt a really good environment,” Scott told RTI ahead of his commitment. “I really enjoyed being there. Obviously, the coaching staff is amazing. Coach Barnes, he’s a great coach and I just felt a real connection with him when I got there.”
