There are two games on the Monday Night Football slate, so let’s take a look at each ahead of kickoff.

Bills vs. Falcons: 7:15 p.m. ET

Atlanta sits at 2-2 and two games behind 4-1 Tampa Bay in the NFC South, so it’s an understatement to say that they need to secure this game at home. The problem is that they’ll be going up against reigning MVP Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

In years past, that would have posed an extremely tall task, but the Falcons’ secondary has been solid through four games. Atlanta is allowing the lowest completion percentage to opposing quarterbacks (57.7%) and has also surrendered a league-low 602 yards through the air. Rookie defenders Xavier Watts and Billy Bowman popped up on the Friday injury report, so that’s something to keep an eye on ahead of this one.

Atlanta sits as an underdog at home in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Bears vs. Commanders: 8:15 p.m. ET

Chicago enjoyed an early Week 5 bye and enter Northwest Stadium riding a two-game winning streak. Quarterback Caleb Williams has looked much improved in his sophomore year, and he’ll face off against QB Jayden Daniels, the player who went right after him in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Daniels and the Commanders notched a 27-10 upset over the Los Angeles Chargers last Sunday and will once again have to grab a win without playmaker Terry McLaurin. The wide receiver was on the bubble to start this week but was ruled out once more, his third straight game on the sidelines since picking up a quad injury.

The Commanders are favorites at home on Monday Night Football.
