Tennessee men’s basketball coach Rick Barnes and women’s basketball coach Kim Caldwell were both in Birmingham, AL, on Wednesday to take part in the 2025 SEC Media Days event before the upcoming season.
Barnes and Caldwell both spent nearly 30 combined minutes on the main stage, fielding questions about their respective teams ahead of the upcoming season.
The Vols will host Duke in a preseason exhibition game on Oct. 29 before tipping off the regular season against Mercer on Nov. 3 in Knoxville. The Lady Vols, meanwhile, will match up against Columbus State in a preseason exhibition game on Oct. 29 before traveling to North Carolina for a non-conference regular-season opening game against NC State on Nov. 4.
