Tennessee’s new kicker has arrived on Rocky Top and is already drilling kicks inside the Vols’ practice facility. Former Louisville kicker Cooper Ranvier committed to Tennessee on Jan. 8 after spending two seasons with the Cardinals’ program and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Ranvier posted a video to Instagram this week of him booting a 60-yard kick indoors. He posted two house emojis, highlighting that the 6-foot-2 kicker is settling in comfortably in his new home.

Ranvier only attempted one extra-point during his true freshman season, but had a ramped-up role as the starter in 2025. He connected on 21-of-25 field goals last season, including going 6-of-6 inside 30 yards, 13-for-13 inside 40, and 19-for-20 inside 50. Ranvier went 2-for-5 from 50+ yards with a long of 51. He went 39-of-41 on extra-point attempts.

Last summer, Ranvier posted a clip online of him hitting a kick from 71 yards out.

Gilbert finished his redshirt sophomore season making 8-of-10 attempts less than 40 yards, 4-of-6 attempts between 40 and 50 yards and 2-of-3 attempts over 50 yards. He was perfect on extra points.
